They Are Terrorizing the People with Tears

Ours is the era of deception and deprivation. Somebody is stealing or cheating somebody else's properties or something, that is, one is preying on the other.

Odd scene has is that the National Assemblymen with the majority Ruling Open Uri Party has been making a practice of shedding tears whenever the opportunity arose (whenever the TV cameras were rolling). The sure thing has been that they were trying to steal emotions of the people by victimizing majority Assemblymen themselves.

They had been "warriors of the street." They had organized anti-U.S., anti-government demonstrations, throwing "Molotov cocktails" and burning riot-police cars. Convicts mainly responsible for the destruction of the national law and order have worked their way to the National Assembly. Ironically enough, "they are terrorizing the ordinary people once again with tears."

It Was the Wrath of the Deeper Earth

Did it herald the beginning of the end of the world? The disaster came "like a thief". There had been no advance notice nor rumor mills running.

Thousands of human shapes swept away before our eyes, in broad daylight, in nano seconds. Buildings were toppled. Erected materials were crumpled. There were no time to scream. Cries for help were not heard but buried in mounts of "haeil" (tsunamis:tidal surges).

It struck the land like a lightning. But it did not come down up from the sky but it did rise from under the bottom of the sea. It was the wrath of the deeper Earth.

Stars as a New Social Evil

It has been a wrong practice that civilized societies have been too lenient toward so-called stars, who have adulterated our living environs along the way. It's time we drew a line and told them that's it. I think it's necessary that popular stars of the entertainment world should not act as advertising models.

Stars define things, which is wrong. Stars distort facts of life, which is wrong, too. Stars take unjustified huge gains, taking advantage of people's trust.

Complaints are many and varied from ordinary consumers who assert that they had their housing contracts swindled. Leaks on the ceiling and cracks on the wall are common. Plumbers are not coming. Construction company officials are truly evasive.

Immaturity of the National Assemblymen

Immaturity is not something you can find during one's juvenile years but an evident attribute you can find at representatives of the nation. National Assemblymen of Opposition Hannara Party would not talk to Premier as they were sulking. Premier Lee had enjoyed chewing, under some influence of nostalgic alcohol during his visits to EU countries, the Opposition Party and the ultra-con media for their impediment to reform.

Unlike minority Opposition Party Congressmen, majority Ruling Party congressmen would whine and whimper. Ruling Party members have so often been good at their victimization. Since one of their colleague National Assemblymen, Mr. Lee Chul Woo, was charged with anti-state activities under National Security Law, the sympathetic Congressmen have staged an outdoors demonstration, whimpering, sobbing and weeping all the way, protesting that they had been persecuted under the totalitarian military dictatorship in the past.

The Nation of Cheating

Intertwined in the tangle of exam cheating, the nation is in the grip of a certain evil force. The ubiquity and universality of cheating makes the nation blush. How to cope with every gamut of loss of integrity deeply permeated in the whole area of society has become the national homework.

Education and Human Resources Ministry might have felt resentments and frustrations over the ubiquity of SAT exam cheating done through electronic gadgets. Con men have been running amok in every aspect of society. Infidelities have been common subjects of TV dramas. Credit busters who are in default have become a threat to security.
